Last updated: 8 September 2017 at 00:44
Want to go to South Africa?
Do you want to participate and work in a multicultural team of students on the future of smart cities?
The Netherlands Embassy in South Africa aims to enhance the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. It therefore invites MSc-students from TU Delft to come to South Africa this November for CoCreateMYCITY DURBAN, a new project in the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
In collaboration with the city of Ethekwini the aim is to find tangible, innovative solutions to urban challenges in the city in the sectors of Water, Transport & Logistics, Energy, Agriculture and Healthcare. These sectors are key to the smart cities concept, which impacts urbanisation patterns of the future, while education and entrepreneurship are drivers of a city’s economic success. Read more on the challenges. The objective is to form multidisciplinary and multicultural teams of students from different universities in Durban and The Netherlands. Student teams will work together on challenges identified by the city of Ethekwini and, under the guidance of a select group of experts and mentors, come up with concept solutions to these challenges.
Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org stating your name, study programme, CV, motivation (what do you want to contribute to this challenge and why?- 1 A4), and sector/challenge (which sector(s) and specific challenge(s) have your interest and why? – 1 A4).
